EPILOGUE
Roll
the Credits.....
Last but
not least... goes a little space to the creators of this little project.
Some of you may know who we are already
DACOOK:
for his excellent account of the Mellotron history and some very smooth
EX voices your sure to enjoy! Save for this page almost every other
bit of text in these pages was written by DACOOK I enjoyed reading EVERY
WORD
JW:
for his "timely" insertion of some of the finest drum voices
around - and for his contribution of some great Mellotron source samples.
SKI:
Through headache and hardship, his exhaustive efforts went into hand
crafting 99.5% of the samples and WAVEs in this collection. He is also
in no small way a big reason why this project turned into the monster
that it did ;-) You will also find a wealth of his outstanding voices
in this package and I am sure you will not be displeased.
TORUS:
(narrator for this page alone) designed and manufactured the docs you
see before you and a heepin' helpin' of some of the strangest voices
you will ever play. Groovy!!!!
Special
thanks goes to...
All of
our families for putting up with our Mellotron obsession... honey, where
is my LAB coat?
EX5Tech:
for giving us all a home to share our ideas and inspirations, a collective
of souls bound by a big blue ring.
YAMAHA:
for delivering the goods in spite of troubles, I am sure we all agree
life would be terribly dull without the EX.
J. P. Hovercraft:
for posting the original samples that got me thinking one day shortly
after big blue arrived... "hey, those cool old Mellotron samples
sure would be neat to load..."
Photo
credits must go to the individual photographers who, over the years
have captured these moments of Mellotron history.
Last but not Least! - Derek and Ski would like to take this opportunity to give great credit and special thanks to torus. First of all, he was the spark that started this project. Second, torus is responsible for all the wonderful graphics you are presently enjoying in this documentation. He turned some of our mundane sketches into truly stunning images. Cheers!
